‘Green Emerald humming bird’ by David Bird

Although hummingbird photos are not uncommon, they almost always depict the hummingbird vertical, with a single flower petal in the frame. This image of, I believe, a Green-Crowned Brilliant caught my eye due to the unusual horizontal orientation, subtle green tones that complement the subject and finally, the flower bed across the bottom of the frame helping to balance the composition and provide a sense of place.
