Mountain Hare are incredibly popular mammals to photograph in the colder months with this particular subject seen late winter, as indicated by its spring coat coming through. What I really like about this particular image is the raised front paw, showing the hare is moving through the snow covered landscape. Had that front paw not been raised, it would simply appear as if it were sitting stationary. Often it's the small details that make or break a photo and this is a perfect example of that.
